Inspect the filament and extrusion path

Step-by-step instructions

1. 1. Check spool

   Verify the spool rotates freely and filament is not tangled.

2. 2. Check PTFE route

   Look for sharp bends, kinks or obvious blockage.

3. 3. Check toolhead entry and sensor

   Confirm filament reaches and passes the entry/sensor normally.

4. 4. Check extruder

   Listen for clicking and look for slipping or ground filament.

5. 5. Check hotend/nozzle

   If upstream feeding is normal, test for restriction at the hotend/nozzle.
